PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Shell CARNEA® E Oils

ISO Grades 10, 15, 22, 32, 46, 68, 100, 150, and 220 (Available East of the Rockies)

Shell CARNEA E Oils are highly refined medium viscosity index (MVI) mineral oils with low natural pour points. They are economical oils for non-critical light and medium duty applications similar to those of VITREA® Oils. CARNEA E Oils are suitable for general purpose lubrication of bearings and lightly loaded gears -- particularly those with "once through" oiling systems, or where residence time is not long due to leakage loss.

Shell CARNEA® W Oils

ISO Grades 10, 15, 22, 32, 46, 68, 100, 150, and 220 (Available West of the Rockies)

Shell CARNEA W Oils are highly refined medium viscosity index (MVI) mineral oils with low natural pour points. They are recommended where service temperatures are moderate and where long service life is not required. CARNEA W Oils are suitable for general purpose lubrication of bearings and lightly loaded gears -- particularly those with "once through" oiling systems, or where residence time is not long due to leakage loss.

Shell DELIMA® Oils

ISO Grades 150, 220, and 320

Shell DELIMA Oils are detergent, antiwear, rust and oxidation inhibited circulating oils. They are intended to provide machine cleanliness and to effectively disperse contaminants; yet provide rapid water separation in reservoirs -- a feature seldom found in detergent oils.

These barium free oils are designed specifically for use in paper making machines. They are especially effective in heavy duty service required for high temperature, high pressure kraft and board machines. In addition to application as circulating oils for bearings in paper machines, DELIMA Oils can also be used for reduction gears, gear-head motors, and hand- and ring-oiled bearings.

Shell HYPERIA® Oils

ISO Grades 220, 320, and 460

Shell HYPERIA Oils are produced using highest quality synthetic (PAO) base fluids along with carefully selected additives. These products offer performance properties far superior to those of bearing and gear oils blended from conventional petroleum oils.

Shell HYPERIA Oils:

  • Provide outstanding rust and corrosion protection
  • Provide significantly improved oxidation and thermal stability
  • Have high viscosity indices
  • Have low pour points

Shell HYPERIA Oils are designed for use in circulating oil systems with moderately loaded plain or roller bearings and in industrial gear reducer systems operating under lightly loaded conditions where these systems may encounter severe operating conditions, such as high temperatures, wide temperature ranges and long oil servicing intervals. These oils are particularly recommended for "sealed for life" systems.

Shell HYPERIA Oils help extend drain intervals, improve system cleanliness and reduce maintenance costs. They are compatible with the elastomers, gaskets, seals and paints that are normally used in systems designed for conventional mineral oils. Systems require no flushing before switching to HYPERIA Oils because of their compatibility with petroleum oils.

    Shell HYPERIA® S Oils

    ISO Grades 220, 320, and 460

Shell HYPERIA S Oils use the highest quality synthetic (PAO) base stocks available. These base fluids, coupled with carefully selected additives, offer performance far superior to gear oils that are blended from conventional base stocks.

    Shell HYPERIA S Oils:

  • Provide improved load carrying ability
  • Provide excellent protection from rust, corrosion and wear
  • Maintain high oxidation and thermal stability
  • Have high viscosity indices and low pour points

Shell HYPERIA S Oils are designed for use in industrial gear reducer systems that encounter high or wide ranging temperatures and heavy loading. These oils are also well suited for "sealed for life" systems. HYPERIA S Oils help extend drain intervals, improve system cleanliness and reduce maintenance costs. They are compatible with the elastomers, gaskets, seals and paints that are normally used in systems designed for conventional mineral oils. Systems require very little clean up before being switched to HYPERIA S Oils.

    Shell MORLINA® Oils

    ISO Grades 100, 150, 220, 320, and 460

Shell MORLINA Oils are manufactured from carefully selected, premium quality, paraffinic, high viscosity index base oils, and a combination of premium rust, corrosion and oxidation inhibitors. These oils exhibit excellent water separation characteristics and extremely low foaming tendencies.

Shell MORLINA Oils are intended for use in enclosed bath, splash and circulating systems. They are recommended for the lubrication of plain and rolling bearings, slides, machine tools and in low to normally loaded enclosed gear reducers where non-EP AGMA oils are specified. MORLINA Oils are appropriate where extreme pressure additives are not required, and where Shell VITREA® Oils are not sufficient. They meet the requirements of AGMA Grades 3 through 6. MORLINA Oil 150 is approved against Cincinnati Milacron Specification P-57.

    Shell SPINDLE Oils

    ISO Grades 10 and 22

Shell SPINDLE Oils are manufactured with carefully selected, premium quality base oils and a premium combination of high quality rust, corrosion and oxidation inhibitors. These oils also exhibit excellent water separation characteristics and extremely low foaming tendencies.

Shell SPINDLE Oils are intended for use in the high speed spindle bearings found in some modern textile machines and other machine tools. These types of bearings may operate at extremely high rpm's, and they are likely to require low viscosity oils to lubricate properly and to dissipate excessive heat that may be generated. SPINDLE Oils may also be recommended for use in hydraulic systems that call for low viscosity, non-antiwear hydraulic fluids.

Shell SPINDLE Oils 10 and 22 are approved by Cincinnati Milacron against their specifications P-62 (10) and P-45 (22), and are so listed on their approved products list.

    Shell TELLUS® Oils

    ISO Grades 22, 32, 46, 68, and 100

Shell TELLUS Oils are antiwear hydraulic oils designed to give long service in high output hydraulic systems that use vane, piston or gear pumps. These oils help stretch oil and pump life in extended heavy duty service with their balance of excellent properties. Since they contain a zinc dithiophosphate antiwear agent, they should not be used in specialized pumps with silver plated bearing surfaces.

Shell TELLUS Oils are blended with specially selected paraffinic HVI base oils and incorporate a proprietary additive that is a leader in keeping systems clean. Shell TELLUS Oil technology is also a pioneer accomplishment because it is not adversely affected by small amounts of water. TELLUS Oil with this technology, was among the first anti-wear hydraulic oils to be approved under the Dennison HF-0 specification.

    Shell TELLUS Oils:

  • Have excellent filterability and antiwear activity
  • Are non corrosive to brass, bronze, steel and copper
  • Possess oxidation stability for long system oil life
  • Have low pour points
  • Provide good demulsibility

Shell TELLUS Oils meet all requirements of major pump manufacturers that do not prohibit the use of zinc additives. They also meet the appropriate Cincinnati Milacron requirements. P-65 (TELLUS 32); P-70 (TELLUS 46); P-69 (TELLUS 68).

All TELLUS Oils are approved by the USDA for H2 use in meat and poultry processing plants where there is no possible contact between lubricant and edible product.
